Details of Meetings

Regular Weekly Meetings

Sundays
Communion Service
10.00am to 11.00am In this meeting, we seek to remember the death of the Lord Jesus Christ as He has commanded. This is done by breaking bread and drinking of the cup together in a spirit of devotion and worship. The meeting has no leader; we look to the Holy Spirit to lead us as He gives to first one and then another a hymn, a Bible reading or prayer. It is, at the same time, a solemn yet joyous occasion. All are welcome, and all those who love the Lord and are resting in Him for salvation are welcome to take part.

Sundays
Family Service and Sunday Club
11.30am to 12.15pm All are welcome to the Family Service which is particularly suited to families. After an opening time of singing, the children move to their Sunday Club in which they are divided into groups by age and taught Bible stories in various ways and the lessons that can be learned from them.
The adults then share a message from the Bible. This is designed to be relevant and helpful to all with stress being laid on the need of salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Sundays
Teaching Meeting
6.30pm to 7.30pm This is the main meeting for the teaching and building up of the church. It is made up of an initial session of worship, prayer and singing followed by a teaching from the Bible. Normally, a programme of talks is followed as directed by the Holy Spirit but there are also regular times when the speaker is given freedom to choose a subject as lead by the Spirit.

Tuesdays
Mums and Tots
10.00am to 11.00am During term time, the Hall is open to any Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Childminders for play, coffee and chat.

Tuesdays
Bible Study and Prayer Meeting
7.30pm to 9.15pm This is where the church comes together to study the Bible and to pray together. The Bible study usually takes the form of an open discussion on a selected passage. The prayer time concentrates on worship, praise, thanksgiving and the bringing of common concerns in prayer to the Lord.
Occasionally, Bible study is replaced by reports from missionaries that are supported by the church.

Wednesdays
Woman's Hour (fortnightly)
2.15pm to 3.15pm All ladies are warmly invited to join us for Woman's Hour. We meet new friends, sing, listen to a helpful Bible talk and enjoy a good cup of tea.

Thursdays
House Bible Study (fortnightly)
7.30pm to 9.00pm This friendly, non denominational group meets every two weeks in someone's home. In common with many hundreds of similar gatherings, the group discusses an agreed Bible passage to find out, with God's help, its application to our daily lives.

Occasional Meetings

Hotpot Supper
6.30pm to 8.15pm This is an evening to which everyone from the neighbourhood is invited. Although those who come are usually older folk, an invitation is open to all.
The evening starts with a hotpot supper and a sweet - and a fair amount of talking! This is followed by a time of hymn singing very much enjoyed by all and the evening ends with a short Bible talk.
There are usually two Hotpot Suppers during the year in March and October.

Fellowship Meeting
3.45pm to 7.00pm These meetings are for Bible teaching and are normally arranged twice a year in March and November. Christians come from a fairly wide area to enjoy the teaching and to meet up with each other again in Christian friendship.
There are two sessions with a tea provided between the meetings.
